Leading the School of Professional Studies
Meet the School of Professional Studies’ Executive Team who provide strategic leadership for the School and advance the University’s vision for lifelong learning.
Asher Haines, Associate Provost of UNC Charlotte’s School of Professional Studies (SPS), and Melody Steigerwalt, Executive Assistant to the Associate Provost, are directing the School and leading the University’s strategies related to supporting learners of all ages. This includes expanding access and support for learners at every stage of life; building strong partnerships with companies and organizations to upskill and develop their workforce through targeted education and training; and collaborating with the University’s academic colleges to design, deliver, and scale high-quality programs for adult learners. Through this work, they also champion and strengthen excellence in teaching and learning across the University.
