Advancing Online Course Design

The School of Professional Studies celebrates the success of its 2025 Online Course Design Bootcamp, which empowered 47 faculty members across 20 departments to redesign 49 courses for enhanced online learning. With a projected impact on 1,800 students in one semester, the initiative helps faculty take their online courses to the next level, enhancing both faculty teaching experience in online classes and student experience.

The Digital Learning Production team delivered 350 pages of tailored feedback to support faculty in creating engaging, high-quality online courses.

“For me, the Bootcamp was NOT a professional development opportunity. Rather, it was an objective, non-judgmental look at my teaching with ideas for improvements. I use the word improvements; however, I view the Bootcamp experience as more of a reflective opportunity to create fresh excitement that follows best practices, while meeting today’s learners with updated tools and strategies. I would be crazy not to take advantage of the help being offered to me in such a fun, creative, and friendly setting.”
